POLLY TISDALL
HELD IN COMMON
In March 2020, at the outbreak of the pandemic, Polly collaborated with Community Development Project, The Network, to bring Bristol residents together through story sharing - via the medium of podcast!
HELD IN COMMON ran for two series from 2020 -21. It celebrated the stories that are held in our communities, in our folk histories and in our every days. It sought to bring together diverse voices from across Bristol and to celebrate all that we have, and hold, in common.
Series 1: Silver Lining Stories from the People of Bristol focused on the positives that people had been finding amidst the coronavirus outbreak and explored the power of bringing together personal and traditional stories to provide solace at a time of crisis.
Series 2: Home Truths saw Polly and The Network collaborate with housing charity Shelter to focus on residents' stories of Bristol's housing and a local Renters Rights campaign group.
HELD IN COMMON is made up of contributions from Bristol residents recorded via phonecall, zoom or WhatsApp Voice note. It was important to the team that as many people as possible were able to take part. Occasionally this may affect the sound quality.
