Polly stumbled into storytelling in January 2011 and was named Young Storyteller of the Year two months later. Since then she has performed on bar stools, bandstands and beaches; in theatres, schools and museums; and for national and international festivals.

 

In 2023, Polly began to move from telling traditional stories in performance to writing scripts for the stage. She was delighted to be shortlisted for the UK's first national Women In Theatre Lab with Jermyn Street Theatre in 2024 and to be named as the winner of the Kevin Elyot Award for emerging playwrights at Bristol Theatre Collection later the same year.
