RAMBLING HEART

B&W Badge_edited.jpg

Once upon a time in 2012, Polly founded Rambling Heart - a theatre company devoted to exploring folk art forms intermingled with theatre. Since then the company has waxed and waned - and waxed again, changing shape alongside Polly and her creative collaborators and providing them with a vehicle for staging bold ideas, often in unusual spaces.

Rambling Heart have produced experimental work in Birmingham factories, storytelling ceilidhs in museums, devised work in shop windows and Shakespeare on city farms. We are proud to have received funding from Arts Council England to have commissioned, researched and developed the first stage adaptation of Penelope Farmer's 'Charlotte Sometimes'.

Today we are based in Bristol and are focused on making ambitious and inclusive theatre: telling tales rooted in place, land and community.
